CHEERLEADING

Loyalton High School has an active and enthusiastic cheerleading team.

Practice is held Monday through Friday, 3:30 – 5:30 PM. Cheerleaders attend all games, and are expected to participate in school functions and fundraising events.

Cheerleaders, as with all district athletes, are held to high levels and expectations, in regards to both academics and behavior. Our sports participants are role models in the community.

What ALL Parents and Students Should Read:

Day to Month:

20 minutes a day x 30 days a month= 600 minutes a month (equivalent to 10 hours).

Month to Year:

(Reading 20 minutes daily) 10 hours x 12 months= 120 hours

Percentile Performances for State Tests:

The number of minutes spent in reading correlate positively with reading achievement, and other academic advancement. Students who scored at the 90th percentile spent five times as many minutes as children at the 50th percentile and more than 200 times as many minutes as children performing at the 10th percentile.
